We came to J&S Landscaping after having a very bad experience with a landscape architect in Northville. She abandoned our project right before the start date and we were left at square one. This is where J&S stepped in to save the day. I left a message and received a call from Jeff (the owner) within a few hours, he then had Jeff Letosky (landscape architect) call me back the same day and we scheduled an appointment for just a few days later. At the first meeting Jeff L. was friendly, interested in making sure he understood what we wanted, and provided helpful insights about what we could expect moving forward. At our second meeting he came prepared with a full plan, including beautiful 3D photos of what our landscaping would look like when complete. We wanted to make a few changes to the plan and Jeff wasn’t defensive about making changes; he welcomed our feedback and quickly incorporated our changes, helping us develop a plan we truly loved. Jeff L. was also extremely accessible during the planning process, quickly responding to emails and following through on what he indicated he would do.
Once the work began, the great service we’d come to expect continued. The crew who came to work at our house were all very professional and worked extremely hard. You hear horror stories of crews not taking the job seriously and lazily completing the work, nothing could be further from the truth with J&S Landscaping–these men work hard. Jeff L. continued to supervise the project throughout, making sure he hand selected the plants and ensured that they were properly placed. And when we ran into problems with one of the trees we wanted not being available, he worked quickly to develop a pleasing alternative.
Both Jeff (the owner) and Jeff (the landscape architect) are professional, courteous, hard-working individuals, and their crew shares these same qualities.
